Permanent Collection
From Tuesday to Sunday: from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Monday: from 12:00 to 16:00 hours.
On January 1, May 1 and December 25, the museum will be closed.
On December 24 and 31, opening hours are from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
From the end of June to the beginning of September, the museum extends its schedule due to the summer season.

The collection of the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum is made up of about 1000 works that the Spanish State purchased from the Thyssen-Bornemisza family in July 1993. The museum is located in a privileged location, the Villahermosa Palace. This palace was built at the end of the 18th century and is a clear example of Madrid`s neoclassical architecture. The museum has three floors, to walk it is recommended to start on the second floor and then go down to the first and the ground floor. During this tour we will see the historical evolution of painting, with works that span the XVII-XX centuries.
